Old-Fashioned Fruit Cobbler
Ingredients:
- 1 -Egg
- 1/2 cup - eSutras Raw Cane Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons - Butter, melted
- 1/3 cup - Milk
- 1/2 cup - Flour
- 2 teaspoons - Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon - Salt
- 4 cups - Fruit (apples, peaches, berries)
- 1/4 teaspoon - eSutras Nutmeg Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon - eSutras Cinnamon Bark Powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- Beat egg, sugar, butter and milk.
- Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat into egg mixture. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine fruit, nutmeg and cinnamon. Turn into a greased 12x8x2 baking dish.
- Top with batter, spreading smoothly.
- Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until crust is crisp and golden brown.
Note: If using cherries, omit nutmeg and cinnamon and substitute 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
