Manjishta (Manji/ Rubia Cordifolia)

Manjishtha is a perennial herb that can be found in India and grows to a height of around 1.5 meters. It has a woody based stem, evergreen leaves, and bears red and black berries.

Manjistha has a long history of use in Ayurveda as a blood purifier. Manjistha is also excellent for reducing excess Kapha. It has been used to help to maintain clear channels in the body supporting the healthy flow of blood and urine.

Manjishta has also been used to naturally maintain metabolic rates, induce urination, and promote menstruation.
